The House of the Parliament Member Manousos Koundouros

This two-story habitation was built in 1909 and was designed by Mihalos Savakis. It is located in the end of the street "Iroon Polytechniou" (Heroes of the Polytechnic School) over the seaside.
Its design and ground plan are characteristic and similar to almost all the houses-offices of parliament members that were designed by Mihalis Savakis. There is a second entrance to the house, the living rooms and the office on the ground floor, and the private spaces on the second floor.
On the front, there is the central entrance and the balcony, supported by columns and a pediment with lion heads and other ornaments. The designs of the stone carvings that surround the circular inscription with the date of construction of the house are examples of the western styles and influences that inspired Mihalis Savakis.
The claddings of the exterior with the straight dark lines have a warm color, while the garden with the palm trees and its gates are some of the most beautiful in the city.
