The Rampart of Santa Lucia

In 1568, the semi-circular rampart of Santa Lucia was constructed, part of which is still preserved on the street "Minoos". It is located on the southeastern corner of the Venetian walls. This heart-shaped rampart took its name from the orthodox church of Aghia Foteini (Luccia) and was connected to the ramparts of Piatta Forma and Sabbionara.
A part of the east side of the rampart was visible until recently. After the intervention of the Archeological Service, the excavation of the rampart started.
