The hamams continue the long tradition of the Roman and Byzantine baths with the underground "heating" and the clay pipes that transferred warm water and steam to the appropriate places.

The hamam of the street Katre is building surrounded by arched arcades and small vaults. The central area of the hamam is covered by a vault without drum. There used to be a second floor, and part of the surrounding buildings has been destroyed.
